Inge Broadway Tour Taking Reservations

Media contact: Bruce Peterson, (620) 332-5492

Registration continues for the William Inge Center for the Arts' exciting "5th Annual Inge Center on Broadway" tour in July.

The Inge Center's exclusive group is getting to be known in Broadway circles! Only the Inge tour group enjoys post-show. For example, in 2009 the group saw "Shrek, The Musical!" and "West Side Story," and in each instance enjoyed an after-show discussion with players in the cast right at the stage. The package also includes two lunches with numerous special guest stars. Lunches will be at Sardi's, the ultimate theater restaurant, and a second to be announced.

The price is approximately $2,200.00 and includes round-trip flights from Tulsa, four nights deluxe accommodation in the heart of the theater district, baggage handling and tips, round trip airport transportation and tips, two all-inclusive lunches at fine restaurants with guest celebrities, prime tickets to three Broadway shows, and plenty of free time for sight-seeing.

To reserve, or for more information, contact the Inge Center at (620) 332-5491 or (800) 842-6063 ext. 5835

The Inge Center is best known for its annual William Inge Theatre Festival, which celebrates its 29th year April 21-24. The Inge Festival features workshops with theatre veterans, professional performances, and special events. The centerpiece of the 2010 Festival is a multi-media tribute to Pulitzer Prize-winning dramatists Paula Vogel.

Major supporters of the William Inge Center for the Arts are the Kansas Arts Commission, the National Endowment for the Arts, Hallmark Cards, William T. Kemper Foundation, the Dramatist Guild of New York, and Independence Community College. The center is named for the late Pulitzer Prize ("Picnic") and Oscar winning ("Splendor in the Grass") writer William Inge, a native of Independence.
